I have a story that really made me feel good about our Auburn family. My grandpa was in Austin to watch my 10 year old cousin's football scrimmage. A man walked by wearing Auburn shorts and a shirt. The man sitting next to my grandpa knew who the man in Auburn gear was and asked him why he was out there with his kids all grown. The man told him he just loved football so much and wanted to teach the kids the game.
My grandpa started talking to the guy next to him later on and he told my grandfather and said the man has a senior on the Auburn football team who plays receiver. I knew right then that the man was Jeff Blake. It made me feel proud to hear that parents of Auburn students are representing the university so well.

Well bud I believe you mean Emory is a senior at Auburn, not Jeff Blake, but I do understand what you're trying to say... WDE
I live in Austin and after the UGA game in 2010 I spoke with the nicest lady at HIA. We talked for over an hour waitiing for the plane hone and I suddenly realized her son was on the team. It was Emory's mon. She spoke about student life but than mentioned football when I had to ask. She loves AU and the staff.
Thanks for sharing these stories. We AU fans feel like we are close to these players because of all the board news, but to hear how their families love Auburn makes it even better. Especially way out there in Texas. If you hear any more , it would be welcomed .
