I am not intending to cast doubts but I just read the AJC article on Jaquay Williams maybe flipping to UGA (or so AJC and CMR frantically hope!) and find the following quote curious. Personally, I believe Williams really wants to keep is commitment to AU but has intense pressure from his family (uncle) to take other visits notably go to UGA. And now Mark Richt is smelling blood and apparently really pressuring the guy.
The quotes below from the article reminds me of a similar scenario with Calloway and Peaches - as well as Cyrus K - and the turds last year. It gives me a knot in my stomach. But, all I can do is trust Williams' commitment remains strong and is capable of resisting pressure from his uncle and family (unlike Calloway or Kujo).
From AJC article :
"There’s definitely something going on with Williams, and it may not be fully resolved until next week’s signing day. The normally outgoing Williams has had little to say publicly to the media and privately to other recruits since before his UGA visit.
“He has gone underground and really doesn’t want to talk to anybody except for his family,” Walker said. “He doesn’t want to talk to anybody except for his family. I just think he’s trying to figure out where he wants to be.”

Malzahn approves of NOW Boot Camp! Well...not really...but he would if he knew about it :) www.nowbootcamp.com
Seems like we are victim to more last-minute "changes of heart", than any program in the nation. We'll see! WAR EAGLE!
We had another recruit a few years ago (I think his last name was King). He was gung-ho Auburn and had the potential to be a great running back. His brother convinced him to go to UGA instead and I'm not sure he gained a 1000 yards for his entire career. Now, instead of the NFL, he's doing something like flipping burgers as I don't think he ever finished his degree. How's that for 'brotherly love'?
I know that this is a generalization, but it seems to me that most kids that are pressured by family to go someplace other than where they feel 'home' causes something inside the kid to shrivel up and die. Unfortunately, it's a lose-lose situation for everybody.
Scot by blood, Southerner by Birth, Auburn Tiger by choice - War Eagle!
Strive for perfection in everything we do. Take the best that exists and make it better. When it does not exist, create it.
