Pop in a video of one of Chizik's press conferences. Says the same thing everytime, with little to no information regarding the team.
Man I listened to his presser earlier and damn he has mastered the art of coach speak. Same crap every week. I am tired of the line "regardless of the outcome, we will try to improve each week from the mistakes we made the week before". He must of said that line 100 times. I know its just a presser and he doesn't like taking the time out of his day to do them, like most coaches, but he didn't sound very excited...
"you're so vain, I'll bet you think this post is about you, don't you? Don't you?"
You are correct and it doesn't bother me. Like most coaches, he acts as a politician.
What do you want him to say? We are ready to quit, we know we can't beat anyone. If we were winning, people would be saying what a great speaker he is. It always the same, you are stupid if you are losing and smarter than anyone else if you are winning, no matter what the circumstances are.
Auburn...a family tradition since 1905
WE COMING . WAR EAGLE !
Not really. Saban is winning and his press conferences are terrible as well, except when he goes off which is pretty funny to watch, and no one thinks he is a "great speaker". I just stated a simple opinion so thanks for the downvotes just cuz you don't agree. All coaches say the same things during these pressers and I think they are getting to the point where they are pointless, no matter what the circumstances are.
Living in Charlotte, I spent several years listening to John Fox's press conferences following Carolina Panther games which inevitably included at least one "it is what it is" quote. And that was the enlightening portion of the press conference.
I understand that he doesn't give anything away with his coach speak, but it wouldn't hurt for him to loosen up a bit.
Give me a Les Miles presser any day...
Seriously, he is very disciplined - about the pressers, working out, recruiting, his faith, and things of that nature.
