Let there be no doubt, I am indeed a proud Pop!! War Eagle!!
LOL, guess which one actually went to the school.... that's the sad part....
Seriously, don't take me too serious.
I think BDW is this guy in the pretty red shorts with the feminine stance (click on the picture).

Time to ban this guy (or whatever) again....

This may not go over well but here it goes.
I am not a huge fan of anything Alabama. I take great joy in beating them soundly on the field and in every sport imaginable. However, I respect their institution as one of higher learning just like Auburn. They have some good fans that are respectable as the great and vast majority of ours are. I seem to see lately an inclination on our part to become a little more like them due to our success. I am dismayed at us justifying our behaviour and actions by the way they have treated us. It is not my place to tell us how to act. But our "names" on the sight and our ways of disrepecting them are not justified by their behaviour. The day Bear died was a sad day in Auburn too. I remember the day well. Many do not know that he allowed Auburn students permission to use his name and likeness in SGA campaigns. He was good natured in latter days to my knowledge. After the terrible 9 years of being humbled, I just try to remember where we have been and where have arrived. It's just me but I want to treat them as I want to be treated. and set the example for my children so we better appreciate who and what we are without ever stooping to the level of our in state competitors. We are Auburn (to coin a phrase from Marshall) and we have no need to act superior or disrepectful. We know who and what we are and what we stand for. It's time we act like it.
I agree gadwall, but I wonder how this relates to this thread?
I don't know that this BDWILLIS guy is even an Alabama fan. All we know is that he's not an Auburn fan, and has posted over 100 times on this site, always with the intent to disrespect and insult Auburn. We go pretty easy on him from what I see most trolls treated to on other sites.
If we were the ones going out of our way to go to other teams message boards to act like jerks, I would think your post was right on the money. Auburn fans have no business strolling (trolling) onto other teams boards to gloat and turn all "bammer" on people.
But this guy comes here, to our board, not to discuss anything, but simply to incite. Considering what most people like him are treated to on other sites, I don't feel we've crossed a line. I'm not ashamed of saying maybe he's the guy in red shorts standing like a girl....that's pretty mild and is done in fun mostly. If I intended to really insult him and disparage him, I would have said a lot of other things. But because we are Auburn, just like you said, I think you'll see that he is unlikely to really get anyone on here to do anything we'd be ashamed of.
Like I said, everything you said was right on....absolutely true....but I just wonder if it really applies to this situation.
I'm a moron. I just realized that you probably thought BDWILLIS was an Auburn fan making fun of Alabama fans.
We don't know what BDW is, but he's no AU fan.
I was indifferent to his allegiance whther he is an Alabama Fan seeing if he can draw us into insulting all Alabama fans or if he is an Auburn fan making fun of Alabama Fans.
It was just the straw that drove me to comment.
The Header was enough to draw my ire.
