and I'm tired of hearing all the negativity, judgmental statements, and purely self-righteous, hate-filled uppercuts (it is amazing what people will post when they are in their own homes/workplaces in the safety of a keyboard rant) thrown at a man who is trying to straighten out his life and marriage. Whether he is the one for AU or not, it is most uncalled for.
More than that, most of you guys criticize the Bunker because they are, in some of your opinions, "youngsters with no morals". Whatever...
I'm signing off of this board until the hire is made, regardless of who it is. Lately, the Bodda Getta (some of its main posters) has represented, in large part, what I believe to be one of the weaknesses of the Auburn fanbase--the better-than-thou crowd.
Gonna end my post with a line from a Casting Crowns song..."Oh Jesus, friend of sinners, open our eyes to the world at the end of our pointing fingers."
Signing out till all this is over...War Eagle!

It does get a little crazy during times like these. All message boards get heated when there are changes in staff. Might just want to check in and simply click on BM, PM, or Ron's name and just read their posts only until it's over. It will calm down again about a week after the decision is made either way. The haters will calm down and get over it if he is hired. If he isn't the pro (name the coach) will be angry for a few days but will still love Auburn and will get behind it.
In response to being tired of anti BP posts/threads, you decided to post a negative thread about the anti BP posts/threads. So, as a counter point, I am posting a negative post directed at your negative feelings torward anti BP posts/threads.
I think everyone is simply tired of all the negativity period. That, and if we beat this dead horse any more, we risk looking desperate, wait, ......what?
They called down the the thunder and now they got it. Tell them hell's coming! You hear?! Hell's coming with me!
"you're so vain, I'll bet you think this post is about you, don't you? Don't you?"
I don't have hatred for BP, I just don't feel he is the right choice for AU to lead our football program. Unrelated to the motorcycle incident, he was ridiculous in the way he conducted himself at interviews and press conferences, a real prideful and inconsiderate kind of guy. I do believe he probably has seen the impact of his faults and weaknesses and is surely being changed as a result. I also believe in forgiveness. However I also believe there are consequences. As a result, he is not my candidate at this time. However, I have confidence in our process and if he is chosen, I will always support my school.....War Eagle!
Thats just purely stupid. This board is one of the more positive for CBP out there. Sure there are lots of folks who are against his hiring but there are quite a few who support him. Plus the ones here are usally pretty fair with their critique. I think your a drama queen.
Grow up..... Whats next you gonna tell your momma to make them quit looking at you?
Trying to straighten out his life? Come on man. Everywhere that guy has gone has a reason to hate him. Except maybe Louisville. But even them he played for a better gig that he would take at a moments notice. Don't think Isolated incident. Think pattern....
Is he a fantastic coach, Yes. Is he an off the field problem waiting to place Auburn in the bad light that every sports journalist and news outlet in the U.S. is waiting to gloat about for the next year(as usual), YES. Does that mean that it will happen no matter what, NO. But lets face it, the probability is higher with BP than with other just as qualified candidates.
Honestly I don't care if the man wants to screw everything with legs(guys, girls, farm animals, Whatever). Its his PERSONAL business. The problem is that Auburn can't afford more bad publicity. And the job is very public. He is the one that made his personal life public. Its not about him "fixing himself", or "now he has found God and is correcting his marriage and sinful ways". Its about doing idiotic things that leaves a 100 million dollar program with big problems. i.e. Arkansas, The Atlanta Falcons.... If Auburn hires BP then so be it but you can stop whinning because some people don't want him and express their "self righteous" opinions why.
By the way, that rant has nothing to do with the "Auburn Creed" and it dang sure ain't Bible study.....
