Petrino has taken Arkansas football to unprecedented heights in the Southeastern Conference. The Razorbacks are considered a legitimate national championship contender for next season.
But the suspended coach is now an admitted liar and philanderer. How does he talk to his players about using good judgment when he has displayed the worst kind of judgment both in an "inappropriate relationship" with a lady young enough to be his daughter and then lying about it?
Long said it will be his call, but it's not realistic to believe he will make it without consulting the power brokers in Arkansas athletics. Do they have the courage to do the right thing and tell Petrino his services are no longer needed?
That was from PM's blog
It'll be fascinating to watch.

it's all good
I hope Auburn University has the courage to pass on him. Just my opinion
And why do you look at the splinter in your brother's eye, and not notice the beam which is in your own eye?
Why is it that so many wish to judge CBP verses trying to forgive the guy? Yes his affair was wrong and it might be difficult for him to communicate to some kids for this reason. But let me ask you this one thing. CGC is a good man, God fearing and straight as an arrow. Did his example keep four players from committing a Felony? Did it keep Reese Dismukes or Zeke Pike from getting stone cold drunk in public? Did it keep three players from being shot at a pool party?
Let's quit with this "It Matters" attitude when it comes to CBP personal life and start with "It Matters" that Auburn gets its football team back on the winning track.
I can be sure of one thing. Very few teams are going to be successful following the architecture of UATea. It looks great when you can sell your soul to get an overwhelming number of highly rated recruits to fill the roles. Auburn needs to follow the way of the future and go high production offense. Auburn is very capable of returning to its hard nose stingy defensive ways. Our mistake with CGC was that he never tried and it brought both sides of the ball crashing down hard.
JMO. CBP is an offensive genius and I believe he'll find a talented DC along with top recruiters.
College football needs a team who is capable of contradicting philosophies on both sides of the ball. It will run the CNSs of the world out of football. Once again. JMO.
Thank you Royal. Good to see new news come over the board. Really glad you could contribute to our knowledge!
If you cant be honest....whats the point of being anything?
Since Petrino is an established liar, maybe he lied about having an extramarital affair as a ruse to get Arkansas to fire him. This is bad, very bad. Lying about lying? I bet he's not really in a motorcycle gang either.
"doing justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with my god"
-George Petrie (1945)
Man, if Petrino lies to his bosses and everyone else, that makes him just like Chiz and all the rest! Chiz and all the rest have lied to you, there wife, and their boss! They have lied over and over. It's called a sinner, and each and every one of us has done it, and will do it again. I know for a fact Chiz has lied over and over. Every year, the coach has a to sign a document saying he has no knowledge of any wrongdoing whatsoever. Every single coach knowingly cheats in some form or fashion. By signing this document every year, they are liars instantly! Every single one on this board, including owners and writers, has lied many times in their life, or maybe they should cast the first stones, ha!
Kids, (a) Changing speeds is more important than a curve ball (b) you play defense with your feet & (c) Wayne Hancock is the tits.
