fragment the fan base. I really don't think so. As old honest Abe said "You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people all some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time". Trust me, there's not a coach that will be hired that will please everyone. But I believe that whoever is hired...all AU supporters should support him. We can't question it. Without that support...we are doomed from the beginning.

Another spot on post LittleE. Well said.
If you cant be honest....whats the point of being anything?
yes he would.
Why do you continue to beat that drum incessantly? Convincing others on this board that BP is the best coach for Auburn is going to do absolutely nothing to make it more likely he is actually hired by Auburn.
"Brick by brick, my citizens. Brick by brick"
This not beating a drum...this is about who's the best option for AU. This is a message board, with opinions,...is it not? My opinion is that BP would be the best hire. I posted on another thread...If Apple stock is $550 a share and you could buy it today for $250,,,would you? You be crazy to say no....You can get a $3.5 to $4 million dollar coach for $2 million that's a hot commodiy. Someone is going to hire him and get a great coach at a great upfront price. Why would you not take a chance? Give me a viable alternative to BP. Buy out Fisher's contract and give him $4-5 million a year? BP has no buy out and you don't have to get permisssion from an AD to talk to him. To not do so would be...Auburn being the same old Auburn. If you alway did what you've always done...you're always going to get what you've always got. I'm an old school guy but it's time to to try something different.
