Will Auburn fans have to suffer through what is going on in its athletic programs? Baseball and softball are a complete joke. In Phillips write up about the game last night Paw said " we kept it close and that is what you have to do against good teams". Are you kidding me? Is that what this baseball program has become? We have to keep it close against good teams. Why are not a good team? I can tell you, becasue we don't demand it. Tina should have been fired years ago. Paw should have been fired last year. Instead what do we do, we give our AD a huge bonus. It is absolutely pathic! Our swimming program is slipping big time. I have a friend that was Dave's next door neighbor and the reason he left was because certain things that were promised to him by the AD were not carried out.
I am not one, but I know a couple of pretty big donors that will not give another dime until he is gone.
Auburn University athletes, fans and alums deserve better. They should demand it!!
Meh...I love Auburn, but sports are merely an extension. Maybe a few years in the cellar will teach people some humility.

I Believe Auburn and Love IT...4 Life!
You should prepare yourself to live with the consequences of your decisions, whatever they may be.
When big time money stops spending their money on our AD. It's up to those guys really. If they decided to donate to only the academic side and not the AD side, Gogue would get the point. If the AD is failing financially, which is supported by donations, Gogue will make a change. Until then I'm not holding my breathe.
Well that extension is why all these new buildings are going up all over campus.
ok, wasn't huge fan of the construction my last four years of Auburn...your point?
yep, but you're not a real Auburn man if you quit giving money.
So the university doesn't make any money off tuition? Because a large part of the scholastic donors aren't your big money sports boosters. They may love AU sports but they want to further the educationary programs and facilities.
The sports being down is prolly a good thing for AU folks to deal with. Makes it that much sweeter when you are good and makes you appreciate it more when you are good.
And Tina says his....we just beat bama yesterday. #4 bama... And on the swi ing front....the women were always a tick behind the men. The men are a fave to win it all. I guess if being the prohibitive favorite is slipping seriously then I guess we are.nobody else wants to be good in swimming just AU huh??
Maybe someone should start a thread like this everyday??? Keep it on our minds so we don't forget???

If you cant be honest....whats the point of being anything?
"Those blue jerseys put the fear of God in people" -Pat Dye
I'm not joining in the woe is us party here, but Pawlowski was talking about giving themselves a chance to win late in the game, not being happy because they kept it close. I suspect you already knew that.
Philip, these are the people who know how to do nothing BUT complain...softball is 20-12 and beat #4 Alabama yesterday...I watched on TV, did they? Doubtful!!
Me and my country are EVEN!!!
I live 3 minutes fromt he softball complex and I support by going to games. What is her SEC record? Georgia made us look like a high school team last week. I have a very good friend whose daughter play D-1 softball and he said it is amazing how lazy she is when it comes to recruiting.
Auburn is about to have it worst over all year athletics in my life time.
I don't know about softball recruiting, but our local AISA girl's softball team has won the State several years in a row, and are winning again this year. But does our 'coach' even bother to look down the road at any of them? No! They wind up going out of state to play for some college that WILL look at them. So, no, I don't think our 'coach' does much in the way of recruiting. There's plenty of good players in our State - just go find them! WDE!!

Started at the bottom, now we here.....better get used to it.
I normally try to stay away from these pointless talks, but that statement you made is becoming evermore real by the week.
I'm proud to be an Auburn man. The losing hurts. It hurts bad. But we (Auburn) are more than an athletic department. I love my university, not just the athletics. This season of historical losing brings us back to ground. Like was mentioned earlier, it teaches us humility. We will return stronger than ever and when we do, it will make up for this season of defeat. I will be here through the thick and thin like I always have. That's the Auburn in me.
To borrow a line from one of the more important messages around, "I believe in Auburn, and I love it."
