Ever to Conquer!!
Not me. We have seven Auburn grads in the family...all on my Dad's side. My Mom's side is full of rednecks who root for bammer. They also spend time in jail from time to time. My Mom made it out alive. lol
By the grace of God, I have always been an Auburn fan. Just got too much Aubie in me!
All Auburn All the Time!
My dad graduated from API in 1951. I remember as a very young child seeing my AU alumni bib dated the class of 1975. I didn't make the deadline but my years at Auburn, the education I got, the friends I made are at the top of my life accomplishments. I have a daughter that will be starting her Auburn journey in the fall. I re-adjusted my priority giving and have bought four season tickets as an excuse to visit her often. I look forward to seeing some of my ATO brothers from the 73-75 years again. WDE!
I grew up an Alabama fan and can remember wearing a Bama shirt with Johnny Musso's number. Stood outside a neighbors house to see him sign to play football for the Bear. Due to interest from CM Newton basketball staff, I visited the campus multiple times. Just couldn't feel comfortable most guys were dressed very preppy with dress pants, button downs and penny loafers---I tried a test my senior year in high school by walking across UAT campus and said hi to people but no one responded. Went on first visit to Auburn and liked what I saw, most people were wearing shorts, flip flops and were so friendly and would respond politely. I made my choice right then and have been all AUBURN since. Had a chance to play baseball at AU and make 6 appearances against UAT, unfortunately my record was 0-1 against them. This fall the legacy will continue as my daughter starts her freshman year!
Tez... That's funny, my 3 year old "Tiger" says the exact same thing! "Go Aubren Tigers!" And so did my 6 year old daughter before him:) We're definitely an AU family representin' in Gamecock territory (Columbia, SC)!!!
Oh.. And, HELL NO, I was never a Bama! I didn't acknowledge the unwashed masses, so didn't really have any friends that were either - just enemies! Okay, really wasn't that bad, but pretty dang close! WDE to the end!!!!
