He's in his "7th" season of coaching on the college level.....and, should young David Oku go over 1000-yards next Saturday against MTSU, Coach Malzahn will have had "8" 1000-yard rushers in his "7" seasons on the college level! So, if we want to "RUN" the football, we'd probably be wise in hiring Gus....or....Fedora, who also likes to "RUN" the ball!
Is there any other coach during this period that has done this, at 4-different schools?
*The more I think about it, the more I think that Gus may just be that Home Run Hire that many want, but none of us quite realize it. Winner everywhere that he's coached!

Now that is one impressive stat! I really don't understand the segment of fans that think Gus is unproven. The man has won everywhere he has been from HS, to mid majors, to the SEC.
4-years in SEC as an OC, 2-trips to Atlanta!
ON TO VICTORY - STRIKE UP THE BAND
At this point - dear Lord - I will accept just about anyone!
(A bit overstated but you get my point)

Nice! Keep the posts coming for CGM. I want him back at AU. He gives us the best chance to keep the current players and reduce our "rebuilding" process.
The wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round.
"you're so vain, I'll bet you think this post is about you, don't you? Don't you?"
I like Gus, I think he's great offensive coach. BUT, he's only been in charge of a program(a small at that) for one year. Can he walk in , demand and get the kind of control he needs to run/rebuild AU? And if should receive that control, can he effectively run one of the top 10-12(historically) programs in the nation? I don't know and neither does anyone else.
