"Get in where you fit in." Life is, Too Short TL;DR
We had some very good sandwiches for lunch at Zazu last week.
Bryan, Mike and Ed's is from Phenix City. The woman Auburn in that owns it (and she is EXTREMELY successful at that location) used to work at one of the ones in Columbus for the son of Mike.
If you're ever back this way we'll check out the original. And we won't have to wait like we did for an hour at the other place we went.
Kitchen 3810- Man that brings back some memories of a few headaches and leaning over a big plate of Soul Food to cure that hangover.
MOMMA G's- I worked there during summers my 5 years I was in school. Great place, great people, and Great Food.
Guthries- I know these places are everywhere now but on your way out of town swing bye for plate of chicken and big glass of sweet tea
Thanks for the suggestions guys! We hit Mike and Ed's this time. Will try the others in the future! Great BBall game today! War Eagle!
War Damn and God Bless - Lutzie43
Panni George's is a must for me when I'm in town. Mouth watering batters on all the meats and real Mac and cheese made with milk and eggs. Home southern cooking at its climax.
Big Blue Bagel! I worked there during college. I have to go there every time I am in Auburn. Their breakfast is fantastic. I recommend an egg and cheese sandwhich on a honey wheat bagel. Ronnie Brown came in their for breakfast every morning of the 2004 undefeated season and would get a cajun breakfast sandwich. Our championship swimming team were also regulars. For being the most fit people I had ever seen, those folks could eat!!
