When informed that Auburn intended to bring the game home to Jordan-Hare, then-Alabama head coach Ray Perkins infamously replied, “It won’t happen.” (That Perkins quote graced a huge sheet on the roof of the Auburn gymnastics building across from the stadium on the morning of the game, followed by the line, “It happened.”

We had to throw them a bone; in response to playing one more game at Legion Field.I remember walking in Legion Field and it was all orange and blue end zones and all for Dye's last Iron Bowl ; I had been ragging my ex and her whole bammer family the whole way down about it, believe it was on Thanksgiving Day. I want to remember he called his shot.
Today is a great day to love Auburn, a little better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.
