We have a lot to choose from, but I'd like to get ya'lls favorite play from this past season. I thought about it, and I think mine is Cam's touchdown run through the LSU secondary...
In that moment I think I realized this was a once in a lifetime player on potentially a championship team. I knew I was watching something that was particularly special. How about you?
way too many to choose from... I'd have to go back and re-watch every game and take tons of notes. But Onterio's speed sweep for a 70 yard TD against LSU sure does rank up there.
But my favorite is probably Byrum's game winning field goal in the BCS NCG.
"Alabama fans love Alabama football, Auburn fans love Auburn" -- Patrick Fain Dye
When Cam did the full out drive into the endzone I remember looking over at my wife and saying "We will witness history this season b/c nobody can stop this Auburn team." She thought I was crazy at the time but after LSU she came around.
Probably something from the Arkansas game. I think at that point was when I figured we were going all the way. Second half of the game.
There are WAY too many to choose from...but these are the few that come to mind for me:
* Cam's run against SC where he dove from the 7 yrd line into the endzone
* Fairley's interception against Miss State
* Blake's TD catch against SC where he somehow contorted his body to keep from being tackled and stayed on his feet, then broke another tackle and got into the endzone for a TD.
* Cam's pass against KY to Kodi Burns where he was in the air falling out of bounds and still threw it 40 yards.
* Cam's run against LSU where he drug Peterson into the endzone
* Ryan Pugh's CRUSHING hit on the Clemson lineman on the reverse pass from Kodi to Cam in the backfield.
* Dyer's limping TD run against ARKY. He was limping and still outran everyone.
* Fairley's sack of McElroy and then his incredibly athletic fumble recovery.
* Antione Carter punching the ball out of Mark Ingram's hands to save the game, and the season.
* T'Sharvin Bell sacking McElroy and knocking him out of the game.
* Kodi's TD pass to Cam in the endzone against Old Miss
* The Hail Mary TD pass right before halftime in the SEC Championship game.
* The Lutzie :)
* Blanc' hit on LaMichael James to cause the safety in the NC Game.
* Kodi Burns' TD Catch in the NC Game.
* Stopping Oregon on 4th and goal at the 1 yard line - Fairley
...ok I have to stop...I could do this all day.

Malzahn approves of NOW Boot Camp! Well...not really...but he would if he knew about it :) www.nowbootcamp.com
The touchdown bomb to Darvin in the SECCG. I could watch that over and over again. A thing of beauty.
There were so many incredible plays that just wowwed me, a bunch mentioned above have that. Even though they were highlight reel material, they don't even come close to Kodi's touchdown in the NC. BY FAR my favorite. How fitting he would get one. He deserved it.
The last play of the season.... a perfect kick by a senior player to win it all! Also, Trotter's run in the SECCG to show us a glimpse of our future that is plenty bright!
"There's no doubt, we're going up."
Easy: Antoine Carter's strip of Ingram in the Iron Bowl.
Not only was it an incredible, never quit effort by Carter, but it stopped what was turning into an ugly rout, and gave Auburn a chance to right the ship.
I also consider that our most important win of the season. Yes, beating the Ducks to win it all was incredible, but beating Alabama means we beat the defending champions on their home turf when it looked like they had us against the ropes. Because of the SECC and BCS games to follow I didn't savor this victory as much as I would during an average season which is unfortunate.

Goal line stand on 4th and 1yd in BCS Championship game......
If you have to ask why I love Auburn so much...never mind
No doubt....AC chasing down Ingram and punching the ball out. That has to be it!
There were a LOT of great plays this NC Year. But, without a doubt for me, I have to pick the TD catch and run for Kodi at the BCSCG. I loved that for him. He was the best thing about Auburn football the last two years - BAR NONE!!!

This is my favorite thread in quite awhile, fun to remember. Some of those from earlier in the season in particular that gives me that 'oh yeah!' moment are appreciated. I won't rehash the list, but the Lutzie has to be my favorite simply because what it meant. It market the greatest comeback in Iron Bowl history, and by beating Bama in Jordan Hare West with that play, we were effectively in the BCS NC game. Of course there was one more game to play, but it wasn't much of a game. We ought to have another thread just for favorite Cam moment of the season.

Barrett Trotter's TD...Makes me feel good about next year. I really think he is going to be much better than most people think.
My play of the year is Dyer's carry to inside the Oregon 25 on Auburn's last possession, the run when he appeared to be down, and even thought he was down, but wasn't.. That was the play that put Auburn within Byrum's FG range.
Auburn was almost on the ropes. You could see it in the faces of our fans, and even feel it wherever you were. How many of us had already imagined the game going to overtime and Auburn again being turned away from the promised land? The ghosts of 2004 and 1983 were about to haunt us again.
But the football gods smiled and said "NO! NOT TO AUBURN AGAIN!" How else to explain not only Dyer's miraculous spin on top of the Oregon tackler, but the unusual perceptiveness of the referees in realizing the play was not over? This time the story ended RIGHT!
Byrum's kick. No question.
There were some great plays this year but that was the best. Because then I knew it was over. Then I knew it happened.
Every team climbs uphill to the Coaches' Trophy, but I think our's was about a 90 degree angle this year, and about halfway through ESPN started dropping rocks down.
