Every year I make sure to watch my two favorites of all time! Christmas Vacation and Christmas Story. Now that I am about to be married, my woman and I enjoy each other's favorites, 3 days before Christmas. So we have added her favorite, the Shop Around the Corner.
My mom started that tradition when I started High School. She made sure to watch everyone's favorite movies with them just before the big day. Her's was Miracle on 34th Street, and Dad's was It's a Wonderful Life. At the time, Christmas Vacation hadn't made it out yet, but it did in my Senior year of High School. I must have watched that movie 5 times that year! My brother and sister were too young then, and didn't want to add their favorites movies yet, so that they didn't have to sit thru more than 4 Christmas movies with the family... but they value it now... too bad I am across the country and can't get together with them and enjoy their favorites! What great Christmas memories!!!
