Fairweather fans, we need an APP for them!

  • Someone smarter than me please develop an APP to remove all the 'fairweather fans' off of this site. Give me a freakin' break. You sound like a bunch of Bama fans. Have you really come to that? Chill out, we lost a game, and we are going to lose some more! I don't think it's grounds for coaching changes. Are you that dumb? Did you really think we were going to be that good this season? What fantasy world do you live in?

Last year was a huge blessing to work out like it did. SMILE. Chiz is still building our program...with top 5 recruiting classes. When is the last time we recruited like this? Chill out. More than likely this year isn't going to get much better. It's ok to be frustrated. It's ok to be disappointed. It's even ok to be embarrased at times. But you can't coach SEC Football. Chiz is on track, ahead of schedule. Stop acting like you have everything figured out.

For the sake of all of us who can see the big picture, Relax a bit and let it develop. If not, there might be an APP for you.

  • I don't think fairweather fans would subscribe to a board and visit it everyday. People are okay in my book if they use facts, and common sense, to discuss negatives about our team, and they should be able to do that without being labeled: 1) a fairweather fan, 2) a troll, or 3) not a "true" Auburn person. Apparently, some people on this site want to hear that everything about Auburn is full of rainbows and daisies all day. Personally, I'd rather have open dialogues to come to a better understanding of the truth about all things Auburn.

    What he said!!

  • O.K., Dr. Phil's use of Jedi skills for positive thinking have finally sank into my thick cranium. Jake Holland plays the MLB well, and I will not want nor expect more from him because he is playing par ball. In fact, no matter what happens from this point on, in regard to wins/losses, I will be grateful. The D could give-up 500 yds to FAU, and I will know that Jake Holland and the D are playing their best. I really do mean it, no matter how soft, weak, or submissive the D looks you will not hear one desire for more effort, better schema, or better use of technique from me. TAKE THE GOOD WITH THE BAD AND BE HAPPY WITH PAR. WDE!!!!

  • I think posting frustrations is great! I also think that people should use common sense when they do so.
Labels?...when you post good comment or an irrational comment...it is going to be labeled something by each reader...whether they reply or not.

I think the first poster...saying chill out...is good advice. That doesn't mean that we should be happy with losing or be happy with lack of effort.

When you look at our schedule and our inexperience at so many positions, It's my opinion that we should get beat pretty badly in some games. Does that mean we should be happy with it or expect us not to learn from it and use it to help us grow into a better team...NO!!

Adversity can make us stronger or cause us to fall backwards. It's all in how the players and coaches respond.

I think the best thing that Auburn fans can do is to...love our team and expect 100% each and every week...and do our best to live with the results. If they give it all they have...they will continue to get better!

I have a lot of respect for our Head Coach. He's not perfect, but I trust him to evaluate our team and coaches and make necessary adjustments

    ...Just my opinion

And because Auburn men and women believe in these things, I believe in Auburn and love it. -George Petrie (1945)
