I hope and feel Ellis will be a coordinator at Auburn for at least 3 to 5 years, hopefully longer. When is the last time Aurburn had a OC or DC stay for more than 3 years ?
I believe we will keep him for several years. That's one of the best things about Ellis Johnson. He got canned as a head coach after only one year on the job. I believe he'll be toxic as a head coach prospect for a while and would only leave Auburn to be a DC for a school with deeper pockets or the NFL. There aren't many schools willing to pay more than us (think Texas).
These two factors will significantly increase the chances that we'll keep this DC around for a while.

I'm not worried about losing asst. coaches. If we win, coaches will be begging to come. Good coaching breeds good coaching. Obviously losing one of the best in the business would hurt don't get me wrong, but if he consistently has top defenses naming a replacement or promoting from within would not be a problem
Alabama delenda est.
He wants to coach 6-8 more years.

Good to know, thanks Ron.
