Does anyone have any insight on why he has struggled as a HC? Is he just better suited as a DC?

I coach Middle School football and over the summer we would have workouts for the kids. One of the guys I coached football with his best friend plays at Southern Miss. When his friend was home he came a few times to workouts. I asked him about playing for Southern Miss, if he ever saw Brett Farve (if he did was he wearing wranglers), then I asked him about there new coach. Now I really didn't know much about Ellis Johnson other then he was a dc at South Carolina. His response to Ellis Johnson was the players didnt like the way he did things. Was telling me Fedora let them get away with more and Johnson was coming in changing a lot of things. Told me Johnson was an old school guy and didn't put up with nothing. After hearing that I know for a fact Auburn made a great hire. Great D coordinator, he disciplines and doesn't put up with dumb stuff. Just a little insight from what I was told over the Summer.
