My brother will be a junior this upcoming season at Bob Jones 6A in North Alabama. He had 3 TD catches in their spring game last night against Hewitt-Trussville. Here are a few highlights from his sophomore year. I'm not one to brag but Auburn could really use his hands at receiver in 2015. Anyone know how to get film to our coaches? Or does Bob Jones coach formally send it to them? Thanks! WAR EAGLE!
Tell him to go to camps so he might be noticed. Also, I would suggest he hit the weight room HARD. With his height, he could maybe develop into a tight end, but he would need to put on considerable weight. But then again he's got 2 year to put on good weight. He's not fast enough to be a receiver on the D-1 level, but he does appear to have good hands from the limited footage there.
Not trying to be harsh. I just know that I would want the truth in this type situation.

I was going to put a witty joke here, but I forgot bama fans still use picture books. So I thought I'd expedite the process for you...
Thanks for the input. I agree he needs to put on a lot of weight. Last I talked to him the coaches are putting him through a pretty extensive weight program and diet. You can't really tell from the film but he is one of the fastest players on the team. I'll be happy wherever he goes but both my parents and myself are AU alum so every little bit of exposure won't hurt. War Eagle!
That's good. With some good weight and training, he could have some possibilities. And as far as the speed thing is concerned, he may very well be the fastest on his team, but you gotta look at WRs on the D1 level. They're running 4.4 40s. But again, a lot can change in 2 years, just depends how he develops. I was 5'2" 130 pounds after 8th grade....After 9th grade I was 6'1 170lbs. Now I'm 6'1" 210 lbs ...albeit I'm 25 now haha.
He should talk to his hs coach about his prospects and how to get his film/info out.
When he was born the doctors projected he would be about 6-4,6-5 as an adult. He's 6-3 now but I agree that he probably projects better as a slot receiver or TE if he puts on about 30-50 pounds or so by graduation. I am a Bob Jones alum as well, the last big player from their went to spuat,Reggie Ragland, so the school itself is at least very well known enough to get some exposure.
Cola's fat IYAM. Needs MOAR EXERCISE.
Started at the bottom, now we here.....better get used to it.
That's 6'1" 210 lbs at 10 % body fat, fatty. Try harder.
Anyone showing out against those crappy little HT huskies is good in my book! Go Cougars!
On a (slightly) more serious note, camps are your best bet of generating interest in a player as Cola has already mentioned. OJ Howard from Autauga Academy would not have generated the sort of hype he had at a small 1A AISA school without attending camps. If your brother can get to some camps and show out he will start earning offers.
Fearless and true.
