I would have liked to have Craig back as a recruiter, but as we've talked about before.... what does he know about coaching WR's??? See Trooper Taylor. I'm not hating on DC in any way! Don't get me wrong on that... The Arkansas RB coach would be a huge get IMO... and of course Tracy Rocker!!! Because he can coach the position he actually played.
Regarding the recruits we will lose... it's going to happen. I'd rather have AU men committed to the university rather than committed to a coaching staff. Also I would MUCH rather have coaches that can build up players. Look at Oregon... they are ranked 63rd or something in recruiting... It's all about coaching and the system... The last couple of years, we've seen 4 and 5 star guys turn into 1 and 2 stars... Due to coaching... We will be down a little bit next year (or actually up, ha). I'm thinking 6-6 or so... but that's to be expected with the overall turnover of the coaching staff. GIve Gussy a couple of years and we will be back in the mix in the west.
Looking for your thoughts...

"you're so vain, I'll bet you think this post is about you, don't you? Don't you?"
It's been stated several times by those in the know, he is a great coach. He's been around a long time and he knows what he's doing. Nothing against you Ben, but every time we miss on someone, somebody immediately makes a post trying to rationalize us missing out on a good thing. DC is a good person, recruiter and coach. We missed out. People keep trying to say "Oh well, his loss." No. It was our loss.
I was going to put a witty joke here, but I forgot bama fans still use picture books. So I thought I'd expedite the process for you...
True... I guess I'm being optimistic on this. I loved Craig, he's a great guy. It might be our loss, but I don't think it's a major end of the world type deal... Hopefully we can get Rocker and that would make up for it.

For sure. It hurts, but it's not the end of the world.
