Does anybody have a link to the Cyclones piece written by the ISU players/fans at the time when Chizik took the Auburn HC job? I recall it was a rather vituperative rant on the one hand about Chizik leaving after only 2 years and making empty promises and one of huge relief on the other hand for the team's good fortune to be rid of him. Many were bitter about Chizik's inane procedures and rules.
I was unnerved when I first read the piece and prayed it was not prophetic but now it seems like everything has come full circle and we Auburn Tigers are on our own inexorable path down to 5-19 or even worse. It feels like a curse or something debilitating that is passed on under Chizik's 'leadership' from one unsuspecting team to the next . (Though at the time of his AU hire, many here were in fact very suspecting)
The only way I see we can be rid of this losing nightmare is to remove Chizik and and many of his ineffectual or dysfunctional coaches. If we don't do this in the near future, we will either descend into a dazzlingly losing record over the next decade annually living at the very bottom of NCAA football or we will plod on hopelessly for years in a state of boring mediocrity while our rival UAT continues being in the top 5 teams in the country. Surely, our present embarrassment is not reflective of the commitment Auburn University has made to be tops nationally in football. And, two people we all know are obliviously directly responsible for the team's implosion. And need to be gone, forthwith. Preferably before our stadium becomes half full.
Still, I would like to review the Cyclones article to recall what their players said at a similar nightmarish junction.

And, I would like to include this quote from the 2008 piece:
"...What the hell Auburn is thinking is anybody's guess. And who cares. Because it just unburdened Iowa State of its most unprepared, overmatched and incompetent head coach of the modern era. .."
Somebody should have read this a long time ago!!! What was JJ thinking, anyhow? If you think about it, the whole situation reeks of a clique who finally got to run the big show - and failed miserably! Let's forget this bad chapter and move on to a newer, better (hopefully) phase of football! WDE!!!
"It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience." J. Caesar

come out of his six string
What a prophetic statement. Hopefully, we can say the same thing in December.
"Townes used to say that there's only two kinds of music: the blues and zippity-doo-dah, and this ain't zippity-doo-dah." -Steve Earle
"It's not hard to win at Texas or Auburn; it's hard to lose." Well he has done that
"his legacy of all-hat-no-cattle sound bites " Nailed it
Kids, (a) Changing speeds is more important than a curve ball (b) you play defense with your feet & (c) Wayne Hancock is the tits.
"What the hell Auburn is thinking is anybody's guess. And who cares. Because it just unburdened Iowa State of its most unprepared, overmatched and incompetent head coach of the modern era. "
Says it all riiiiiiiiight there.
I was going to put a witty joke here, but I forgot bama fans still use picture books. So I thought I'd expedite the process for you...
Yeah, all he has done is assemble a staff to consistently recruit top players. Won a coveted NC now is having to rebuild due to CTT last years of leaving the player talent and numbers at low levels. We are establishing a learning curve that will begin to pay dividends next year and years after. The failures of QB to develop and the miss on Pike has hurt. Now Wallace looks like a developing talent. Our recruiting is critical fo QB this year and next.
lol--u are too old for this fodder--go back to your teams site plz--u know what im talking about bammer
