Attitude is Everything
I'm disappointed like everyone else. Personally, I wish that the DC rumor had not gotten out. We all want the latest info. The problem is that this rumor will make us always compare the WR coach hire to DC.
In some ways, it would be better to not know about assistant coach searches. If we just heard who was hired, we might not complain as much. Of course, all of us want the hottest info as soon as we can get it
If you cant be honest....whats the point of being anything?
I was going to put a witty joke here, but I forgot bama fans still use picture books. So I thought I'd expedite the process for you...
No one can/should blame Craig one bit. Frpm coaching QBs to WRs is a downgrade in my book. And let's please drop this 'home run' hire mentality about position coaches. That doesn't exist for asst coaches. We've all got to remember that Malzahn has only been a HC one year and not that far removed from high school. That is why I was against his hire. But, having said that, there are a lot of coaches who will jump at the chance to be coaching at Auburn and being well compensated to do so. Losing Trooper has hurt recruiting and we need to get a rainmaker in here ASAP.
is what it is, Cant blame Malzahn for not wanting DC to coach his QB's. Its not exactly the type QB that DC is used to. Also, cant blame DC for not wanting to coach WR's. Isnt exactly his expertise, albeit he'd prob do a fine job. Next!
Run to the Hills! Run for your lives! We Comin'!!! WDE!
He wore out his welcome long before he left. Elmer Fudd was loyal to a fault.
I don't think DC is any less of an auburn man than he was last year or the year before i don't personally know him but let's face it it's just not what he wanted the people with the defeatist attitudes need to go else where we're no sinking ship we are a ship that is being built from the ground up and our captain is one more should have faith in. Keep on keepin on Gus!
when the going gets weird the weird turn pro
now he's just somebody that we used to know
Gus needs to hurry up and get this staff together before we lose our entire recruiting class.
Excellent point PM. I really enjoyed watching DC do his magic when he was our QB. His decision to stay at FSU is a career decision that he had to make and he has made it. From all I know he is a good man and he has made what he considers the best choice for him & his family. Who knows, one day he may wind up back on the Plains...just not right now.
DC made a decision in his best interests. He doesn't owe us anything. The "fans" bad-mouthing him for making a business decision need to grow up. Choosing to stay put at one job doesnt mean he holds Auburn in any lower regard and I will not begrudge him the choice to do what he felt is best for his career track. I may hate the decision and think he made the wrong one, but I respect the fact that it's not my choice to make. Some of the posters' reaction is akin to asking the girl you've been friends with out and when rejected, you call her ugly. I hope Auburn makes DC regret his decision, but wish him the best...
Very surprised and disppointed. I doubt that FSU could match our offer financially. Must have been more involved.
