All I can say is he had better pull in Rocker now!
As many folks have said man times, Gus will not and should not make staff decisions based on a few recruits from this class. You have to think longer term than that. He'll hire who he needs to hire, and then do their best to recruit the kids we want. Keeping anyone from the current staff for the sake of 1, 2, or 10 recruits would be a big mistake.
And for anyone too worried about Craig or Trooper or anyone like that....go find a list of the best recruiters in the nation from each of the last five years....notice how many different guys there are....noticed how Trooper is not the undisputed #1 recruiter in the nation. There are lots of guys that can recruit well. We'll be fine. Gus knows recruiting is a requirement for most staff members.
Darn, I feel used.

The GusBus- either get on board or get out of the way, we are moving on.........
Dyin' ain't much of a living, boy - you know who
DC is not FROM AU he played here. Maybe he has a plan to be an OC and does not feel this is in his best intrest. Cry and piss and moan all you want...but...
Heres a good story..... I was working for Ga Tech. I am from Milwaukee Wi. Got a call from Green Bay to come and work for the Packers...After I picked up my jaw and stopped jumping around the room...I put in my resignation with Ga Tech and made the move. It was a great decision on my part. And a great move for the family. Well it was amazing. And being that close to home was awesome. I then got a phone call from a General Manager of a minor League Ball team in Woodbridge Va. It was a directors position...Now I had a choice. Stay home and be around my family and friends or take this chance to further my professional career... After a week of going through allthe ins and outs and the hard talks I had made up my mind...I went to Va. The money was about the same a little better...But it was a Directors position. Now my family was upset and still give me crap about it. But they are al joking because they know why i did it. The Packers could have counter offered. And did to an extent. But in my field a Directors Job isnt easy to come by. So again I made the choice and took the heat. Did the Packers have a ton more money than some Minor League ball team in Va?? HELL YEAH. But it wasnt about that. I had a plan for my career and it didnt involve any more waiting.
So before you start with the..'Its got to be construde as a bad sign on Gus CRAP" Wake up and understand that folks make ecisions based on them..Not where they played ball or where they are from. But based on what they think is best for them.
get over the "It must be a bad sign crap" and grow up. This is business not personal dont take it so poorly and start accusing the NEW Coach of not getting it done. Its like AU is the only place a former Au player would ever want to coach is AU. They may love it and they may want tthe job. But oif it doesnt fit theri plan...SO FREAKING BE IT. It is not a statement or a snap shot of the programs place just because you want it to be.
Business os never personal....Its us that make it personal.
If you cant be honest....whats the point of being anything?
"There's no doubt, we're going up."
Or what?? You gonna fire him??? Get real.
If TRock comes he comes. If not will it end the possibility of Gus being succesful? NO. It wont.
They called down the the thunder and now they got it. Tell them hell's coming! You hear?! Hell's coming with me!
Yeah, it's not a sign of anything except DC making a career decision based on his on internal motivations and aspirations.
I'm not sure which reaction is stranger being mad at him and calling him a traitor, (like revoke his diploma?) or saying that it's a sign of apocalypse for the malzahnian era.
It is simply a guy making a decision based on his own experiences and goals. To run down one of the greats who ever wore the orange and blue is just wrong. Wish him the best and tell him thanks for the memories.
....oh and lets go get the best damn coaches we can. If he chooses not to be one of them.. ok, on to the next.
it is a dissapointment, a major dissapointment. Craig was a fan favorite and a tough adversary. It would have been great to being him back into the fold. Like killing 2 birds with 1 stone. but i understand his position. it makes more sence to reach an OC position through the QB position than receivers position.
