Maybe former QB Pat Washington will get a call...He was at Kentucky last year
Only 2 things I am afraid of, women and the police. Gator McClusky
This does not look good, I hope to god he has a plan B, maybe keeping a stud recruiter or two from the old staff not a bad idea, this class is falling apart and he has lost a full week before the dead period to get a leg up, the fact that staff is less than 50% compete at this point is disturbing, I don't care if you have to hire all new coaches and now to get turned down by an alum is a kick in the teeth.
Yes, that is true. The best home run hitters often strike out more often that the guys that hit for average. I'm still very optimistic that the next hit is a home run.
Setting a high bar saves a ton of grief later.
Was not counting on him
I will be rooting for every team that plays against fsu (unless its that school in tuscaloser)!
Strike Craig off the list....next up...Daniel Cobb.
Some people will never understand that and think this 1st choice should happen every time. No thought about there being an actual reality to things. Next.
So.... Who's next on the list?
He coaches receivers at U T and they always under performed. They cut loose and moved trooper from running backs to receiver and they showed marked improvement
He fit the mold WAY too well. Oh well, we need a home run.
"I won't go down in history, but I will go down on you sister."- Hank Moody, 'Californication'
maybe he just didn't want to come back. there doesn't have to always be some conspiracy against AU.
any one that does not see this as a bad thing for Gus is not using ones head, we are in many tough recruiting battles, he has virtually no coaches, one of the top guys just happens to be an Alum and he gets turned down, you can spin all you want but this is a just as bad as Tee martin turning down Tenn and I would think this is something that other coaches will look at and wonder, why would a former star at AU turned down a chance to go home knowing the kind of money we are paying assistants, that can't be played with a positive spin!
this is disappointing.
Aim for the stars. There are billions of them.
DC was a long shot really. Maybe not as long as others but still a long shot. He has made a name for himself at FSu and is prolly getting close to becoming an OC. So a lateral move right now may not make sense to him.
I wish him Good luck and WAR DAMN EAGLE!
If you cant be honest....whats the point of being anything?
He was at UT for 10 years 95-2005. Must have been doing something right.
