How many times this season has he gotten to run the offense his way? Clemson?
Why does Billy Gene meddle with the coaches game plan? Heck, he ran off CGM.
The thought of JJ wanting to keep Chiz infuriates me. Rant over

Chiziks ego has obviously gotten too big.
Gene's a coward. He has been trying to use CSL as an excuse to save his own job. He won't man up and admit that the buck stops with him. This isn't just some manager-speak cliche: Chizik following the Clemson game took over the chief game planning role during the week. He regularly makes calls in game.
Gene at one time was a vulnerable young assistant. Surely he realizes that a head coach should mentor his staff. Instead he's sabotaged the career of Loeffler.
What it appears to be from my couch, it seems like he always had a hand in the defense. The very fundamentals that Rhoads complained about being so poor when he arrived at ISU behind Chizik have been a gleaming problem here in Auburn since his arrival. He seemed to have been smart enough to learn from Tubs' biggest mistake of constantly meddling with the offense and it lasted long enough for us to win the championship. But I think something snapped when he got absolutely no credit for the championship, instead it was given to the offensive coordinator and quarterback. It seemed that, in a grasp, he tried to improve the defense by changing the offense and it has failed about as miserably as possible. He seems to have begun making the same mistakes that, in the end, cost Tubs his job.
And this is all my personal speculation and could be a mile from what the truth actually is.
I was watching the Texas game and the plays and scheme on offensive looked so similar to Auburn and equally unproductive.
