Its about 17 days until the first game. I think it would be wise to name a starting QB. It would give the player more confidence and time to build some team leadership. Having more reps in practice would also help the starter improve quickly. It also might motivate the non starters to work harder to win the job. Just my thoughts. Do you guys like the continued QB competition?
I think it's pretty obvious that it's Kiehl.
Ten times the talent and athleticism.
Moseley has a bum shoulder.
Kiehl more confidence on the field than Moseley does eating a bowl of oatmeal.
Chizik and Loeffler both know it's Khiel. It's been Kiehl since the bowl game. Ultimately, I think they are trying to push Kiehl for his true potential which is through the roof. Also, they are trying to get Clint some confidence in being a back up by saying he competed well and that he'll make a great 2nd string and all of that.

I was going to put a witty joke here, but I forgot bama fans still use picture books. So I thought I'd expedite the process for you...

Regarding the QB race, I'd like to see the starter named after one more scrimmage. This should still give him two more scrimmages before we put in the Clemson game plan around August 25th. Then a final Clemson prep scrimmage around the 28th. As for naming the starting lineup,I think when a kid is told he will not be starting, he has a few days of unproductive depression, and as elated as 22 guys will be, there'll be 63 or so who are UNhappy for a few days, and during those few days, they may just give practice a lick and a promise. Would like for the non-starters to have a week or so to get over their disappointment and get their heads back on straight.
