Nice. Great statement.
All the media outlets that reported Roberts' blog as if it were credible should reprint this, including the statements made by players that she quoted. (That'll be the day)

This is for the Auburn Family and everyone who played here before we did. I love ya'll, War Eagle!' Nosa Equae 10/19/13 Kyle Field Texas A&M
say what you all want about the man as our coach but I have a hard time believing he paid or knew of payment to anyone. If he did, it would be the biggest ruse every at AU considering how much he talks about being Auburn Men and about God. Mack Brown called him his best AC for Pete's sake.
Gene Chizik may be different things to different people, but one thing has always been constant....the man has class.
This is welcome news, Coach Chizik! Maybe the football team didn't work out the way you planned last year, but I'm awfully glad to see someone has the gumption to stand up and tell the world what's right and what's wrong. We need our AD to also step up and attack this trash. Maybe he will, since he was trashed along with CGC and others. I doubt BSPN will withdraw anything, but at least the former players and coaches have called the reports what they are - BS!! WDE!!

Worry only about things which you can change, the rest will either work themselves out or kill you......either way, no more worries.
Thanks Coach, well said and badly needed to be said.

Great response Coach Chizik!
Thank you Coach Chizik you truly are a role model for people who wanna conduct themselves in a manner like you have and Im proud that we had an opprotunity to have a man of intergrity and actually a man who has the balls to stand up to the lies and false accusation that have been implemented onto our program, See what bothers me so much is that everybody was saying maybe he isnt that bad after his 1st yr and then when his 2nd year came everyone was like people dont know what they are talking about he is a good coach, then the 3rd year was another mediocre yr with a little talk but his 4th year when everyone on the team had to adapt to a new offense and a new defense(same but taught a different way) it was hard on the players cause if you been doing something for 2-3 yrs prior and then all of a sudden the bottom falls out you cant expect for a team that was as young as Auburn was to just adapt and be excellent overnight, they could have been a hell of alot better but for the most part we hung in there the entire game and even had chances at times to win but fell short in the 4th quarter, SO my point is, is that all the blame was put on Chizik but none was put on the players thaey were the ones that were going out week in and week out practiceing and playing on Saturdays, Coaches can teach until they are blue in the face but if the players dont buy in then their is no use cause the program will be lost and all the blame is put on the Coaches, Im Glad he did stand up for us though and Im also glad that we have got Gus & Company and the New Day approach because it has put New Life in us and has opened eyes that were so tightly closed in hopes that when they opened them that last season would have been merely a dream, and has made them wanna work even that much harder and listen to the smaller things that much more and just to be better people all around!!!!!!Thanks again CGC

Thank you coach Chizik for the statement. It was what I expected but I am glad you published it for all to see. Hopefully, others will be forth coming in a similar way. I agree completely with the comment on the internet. Now we have anyone who can afford a blog to present statements, claim sources are confidential and sit back to see what happens. It is nice to write whatever you want without the responsibility to check sources, facts as would normally be done. Like many others on this site, I applaud your statement and appreciate the complete disclaimer contained therein.
