Let me begin by saying I'm pessimisitc by nature; however, I'm also a realist and have seen many recruting classes come and go. I'll revert back no further than last year and our clininging to the hopes of landing guys like Goldman, Darby, etc on signing day as they too had us among their final choices. I do not anticipate a huge finish tomorrow as most do. As a matter of fact, I think we'll ALL be rather disappointed with the exception of Lawson, who is a HUGE get BTW! I feel the twins will choose elsewhere; I feel Adams will pick UGA or Clemson; I feel Bower possibly dumps us for whatever reason, which would make little sense to me, and I feel Daniels sticks with Ole Miss. I do feel that we have a good group of recruiters however, and they will pay dividends in the future. This year is just too late to pull these type guys. Most importantly, however, I want to see how these guys coach. Can they develop players? This is the biggest key to getting this program where we all want to be. In closing, please stay calm tomorrow as your disappointment begins to sink in and simply focus on the future and getting back to a respectable and competative program. I feel we have a CHANCE for a bright future, and all anyone can ask for is a CHANCE! War Eagle to ALL!
Why? I dont beleive in sunshine pumping but come on, gloom and doom isnt a way to go either my friend.
"And because Auburn men and women believe in these things, I believe in Auburn and love it. "
That would be disappointing if we missed on ALL those guys.
I'm wondering what the fallout from last nite is. The whole thing was, orchestrated to dull our momentum.

Hate to say it but I tend to agree. Its being reported on pretty much every site that AU leads for Montravious Adams now... but we're Auburn. We have a terrible track record with recruits of this magnitude this late in the game. Unless its a guy like Lawson or Dyer that we've had in the fold for several months, we just don't usually pull these kind of guys. Same could be said for Daniel, the Adams twins, Corn Elder, etc. Its an amazing job for our staff to even have us in this postion, but when you are late to the party coming off a 3-9 season and completely new staff, you're gonna come in 2nd for these types of kids a lot of the time. Call me a nancy but I could see us getting shut out for all those guys, losing Bower, but picking up Ford, Mix and a couple other filler types and calling it a day. Which still wouldn't be an awful class but its not the big finish everyone's hoping for. I could be totally wrong though, I'm basing this off of nothing more than our recent history with these types of recruits. If I ignore that, and go by strictly what the "experts" are saying then we should finish with Adams, Ford, Mix for sure. 50/50 on Bower, Alexanders, Daniel. Outside shot at Elder.
Malzahn approves of NOW Boot Camp! Well...not really...but he would if he knew about it :) www.nowbootcamp.com
I would agree Jack. It does the pay sites wonders when we are rumored to be closing well. It's not good for business to talk of not closing with a flourish. I think that drives a lot of the way things are put forth and also adds to the hype and therefore the disappointment when reality pops its ugly head up. I think I will just be happy with who ever wants to be an Auburn Tiger.
i agree, with you. the rest of you clowns are either bama fans or your lack of belief in our coaches is the problem. what has been accomplished so far in such a short time is amazing. we will get ford the twins and possibly adams. we will miss on a few for sure.. that will be a huge accomplishment in such a short time. cant wait to see what happens next year. i am going to mark this post open to everyone, so let the down votes from bama fans begin.
I don't believe we get shut out tomorrow, but it is a more likely possibility than us getting everyone left on the board that we want. I'm not going into tomorrow with any expectations. I'm already ecstatic that we have a commitment from the best prospect in the entire 2013 recruiting class, Carl Lawson.
That is so far from the truth it is laughable. We report what we know, not what we think drives anything.
^this, Bump, +1, Upvote...You get where I'm going with this
