and his recent comments? Does that not seem very odd to put the guilt on him for not "checking with him" first and saying that he will be "handling his recruitment" for the remainder of the time.....all while saying he needs to earn Clemson's trust back instead of saying he was just taking a visit because its his decision.
Guy is a psychopath. Loser high school football coach who thinks he is important.
I commented on this very subject on the Blue Board and am very curious if Bryan, Keith, or Austin had any insight to the subject?
Here's my post from the Blue Board:
Just judging from the way the article is written and the actions of D. Watson, this young man is under immense pressure from people close to him. Top level recruits take visits all the time; it's part of recruiting. I'm not going to judge the kid because someone in his position has pressure from all angles and that pressure comes from people that D. Watson looks up to and heeds direction and advice from such as coaches. I'm sure he doesn't want to disappoint them. So when his curiosity about what else is out there kicks in and he explores those options, I could certainly understand the kid denying the trip to his coach. I'm not condoning it; I'm understanding the panic the kid will feel when asked about it from his coach and the urge to deny it. This is a lesson learned for any young person.
I do wonder if this will shut down his recruitment if he is led to feel guilty. He shouldn't feel guilty for visiting other schools but for the act of lying about it. But from the way the article was written, it appears he is being led to feel guilty about visiting another school and that may shut down his recruitment. The last paragraph leads me to wonder if his coach has too much control over his recruitment?
“From now on our recruiting coach Wayne Jones and I will be handling his recruitment,” Miller said. “I think he and all of us have learned our lesson in social media and I do not think Deshaun Watson will take any more visits

Wonder what dabo's reaction would of been had the kid visited Ozaloosa ?
Today is a great day to love Auburn, a little better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.
I read the article and the coaches comments did sound strange to me.He made it sound like the kid did something wrong by visiting.
Apparently the dad is in jail and mom had a bad form of cancer and is in rough shape. Sad situation. To make it even sadder, Dabo won't even let the kid enjoy himself during the brief time he has to be courted by colleges all over the country.
his coach is a clemson fan. someone on rivals posted a couple of tweets that he has made through the years to players on clemson's team as well as the coaches.
What stuck out to me was how much that coach made the interview about himself. "I had no idea he was going", "I will take personal control of his recruiting". Apologizing for the kid like it's his place to. It's just weird. No coach, of any sport, I've ever met has acted like that. I can't say why he's doing it, but the NCAA should ask some questions. It sounds like the kid is being forced to go to Clemson.
