***VanGorder said the biggest concern for Auburn’s defense is Texas A&M’s tempo. He said it limits your package and the players have to read the offense and get set up fast. He said they are trying to simulate the fast tempo in practice as best as they can.
***VanGorder said they were really fast on offense today using two huddles and his defense did pretty good against it.
***VanGorder said Johnny Manziel is a tough matchup.
"He's extremely problematic," he said.
***VanGorder said Gabe Wright is an ascending player and improving right now. He said most of the defensive line is still young, developmental players. He said they're far away from being impact players. He said he's looking for consistency right now and the production part will grow.
***VanGorder said Cassanova McKinzy made a lot of mistakes against Vandy but he respects his effort. He said he competed throughout the game. VanGorder said he wasn't sure how tough a player Cassanova was going to be when he first saw him in camp but really showed his toughness against the Dores.
***VanGorder said the matchup against Vandy is a difficult matchup for Cassanova because of the coverage responsibilities.

He played nearly every snap because Whitaker was out and Blackson and Carter rotated at the other DT.
Do you think he did well on any snap? Just one? If so, and you missed that snap, is it possible that you missed other snaps, or did you key on him on every snap? What about the sack he had? Was that a good play? Are you not in favor of a sack? When a DT sacks someone 6 yards in the backfield, is that a good play, or did you just miss it? THANKS IN ADVANCE.
