No question. Better than any other option that we could get.
Stoops - Becoming and Icon at OU and looking for that pay raise
Jimbo - Seriously, do you want him, can he win the big game? So far, no
Patterson - He doesn't run a tight ship and there is no excitement. He is a typical 8 win guy that would be gone in 5 years.
Petterson - Look at all the other coaches that have come out of Boise, all failures
Pellini - look at Patterson
Petrino would make us instant winners. We would go on a ten year run that Auburn has never seen. We would go every game at JHS, knowing we could win every game and also go on the road knowing we had a chance every time over the next 10 + years. When was the last time we had that feeling. Basically one year in the last 5 year. I want to win every time, every year, and Petrino would give us that. He would take us to heights we have never seen. Period!
Stoops record makes petrino look like a beginner. Stoops is by far, the best coach we could hire based on the names we have heard. Better coach than petrino, less baggage. It's not even close. Petrinos defenses make our last four years
Defenses look decent.
This is for the Auburn Family and everyone who played here before we did. I love ya'll, War Eagle!' Nosa Equae 10/19/13 Kyle Field Texas A&M
Stoops - whould be great hire, period.
Jimbo - unsure if he can elevate his game
Patterson - I question how tight his ship is as well but the guy can flat out coach. People look at his record this year in the big 12 and discount him as a coach but he played and FBS high 28 freshment and 20 sophmores in 2 deep and finished 7-5 using his MWC talent against Big 12 teams. We have not had a coach come close to that ever.
Peterson - best coach to hire but not sure he would come. Wins 91% of his games and always shows up in big games. Can't discount that.
Pellini - not intrested. Has talent but cannot win even a conference title. Underwhelming
Petrino - cannot be trusted by administration or players. You don't want to be labeled as a quitter in sports and that's his badge. Offensively he's brilliant but HC is more than play caller. He's the face of your atheletic department to millions. I can't say he's best suited for that job.
Your saying "period" doesn't make it so.
He is the most realistic big name we can hire. Most of you guys obviously don't study the history of Auburn football.
Those big names that are at big time programs will not come here. I don't care what PM says. Not going to happen.
Think about it, you think Stoops will leave Norman, a place he had been for 14 years, where he just built a 5 million dollar home to come all the way across the country to take the Auburn job. You are fooling yourself if you think that. Pelini is going to leave Nebraska, where he is about to win the Big Ten and will probably dominate his division for the next ten years to come here. You guys are dreaming.
Patterson has been at his school for 15 years, and Peterson has turned down job after job to stay at BS.
Do you think that the CEO of Verizon would jump ship to AT&T for the same benefits, but would have to uproot his family sell his multi-million dollar home, after being in the company for 15 years. No way. That is what you think these guys are willing to do. They aren't and won't. Auburn is on par with these jobs but not better and can't offer anything better than what they already have.
It's great to hear so many great coaches ate interested in our job, but do you really believe they would come. Odds are against us, so that is why Petrino is the best available that we can get and don't have to break the bank. He will win and win big at Auburn. Period.

LMAO really Petrino's defenses were NEVER as bad as ours the past 4 years. chiznicks Defense was historically bad. As the worst in Auburn history. Look it up and compare and get back to us
"you're so vain, I'll bet you think this post is about you, don't you? Don't you?"
