Geez, you have got to be kidding me. Like we didn't have enough controversy swirling around Auburn.

Bobby Lowder's just an easy target. He's well known and the bammer's love to take shots at him. I have a bigger problem with Jimmy Rane doing commercials with Stallings. Is he any more hands on than say Phil Knight at Oregon? At a time when Auburn's athletic program's were at best fractured, he stepped up and brought in Pat Dye and except for a few bumps along the way, it's been good. The updykes hate and despise him because once he got involved we've more than held our ground. Don't think for one minute he holds more power at Auburn than Paul Bryant Jr. does at Alabama. Over 90% of the criticism I've heard about him comes from a few disgruntled professors and the updyke nation.
My 2 cents---Not saying that Lowder should or should not to be appointed on the BOT. However, I would imagine that after serving 30 plus years on the BOT, he would give somebody else a chance to servce. Apparantly he could not say no.
I was listening to NPR this morning and heard people (like Martha Stewart and Barry Bond) with ego cannot say no. I am not saying Lowder did anything wrong. But the BOT needs some new blood/ fresh ideas.
