I have a Nissan Titan. I had never owned a truck until I bought this one and I love the room in this one. V8 plenty of power.
Gotta go American. Chevy or GMC are the best!
Own a Dodge Ram 1500 HEMI Quad Cab and love it, I wanted a F-150 but the Fords were way more expensive than the Dodges. There isnt alot of difference in the Big 3 tho, just depends on your personal preference and how much you want to spend. Ford, Chevy and Dodge are all good trucks.
Not to start a war here, but if you see a f-250 with the 6.0 turbo diesel............RUN
I've got a couple of friends who owned these and they are a nightmare. There are certain things you can do to the engine to "fix" the screwups Ford did at the factory, but get ready to spend 1500-2000 doing it. If the water pump goes out, they have to remove the entire cab and lift it off the frame. I know a local mechanic here that curses them every time they tow one it. Injectors are another problem. They last about a year 4,000 dollars for an injector job.
Chevy Silverado. I have an '11 and love it. Mine is Navy Blue and trimmed with Auburn everyhere. Looks great IMO. Never had an issue with GM Products.

I'm waiting!! j/k
but seriously, get a move on.
Your decision is 50% purpose and 50% preference. I would personally go with an F150 with the ecoboost engine, but you loose the MPG benefit if you are towing a lot.
Older Dodge Rams with the Hemi are nice, but not good for towing. The transmission is not beefy enough.
I currently own a 2011 GMC, and it's been reliable. It seems a little dated compared to the Fords, but I got a great deal.
Chevy Silverado w/ Z71 pkg (with or without 4 wheel drive). I have an '07 that has 128,000 miles and have not has 1 issue. Rides smoothly and still gets 17 in city and 20 mpg on hwy.
