BM and PM - I saw where you have said that if Auburn hires Kirby Smart we will likely keep our defensive recruiting class intact and likely have the ability to add other big names to it...
Given how poor our defense was this past year, how big a role do you both believe these particular recruits are playing in this coaching decision/hire, if at all?

I'll bump this and add that Kirby would do a great job. It'd open the door back up on montravious and probably a few others.

I don't expect Auburn's commits or potential recruiting class will play a part in choosing a coach. However, a coaches' emphasis or recruiting and ability to recruit should play a part in the decision-making process.
Bryan, if Kerby were hired would you expect him to make some sort of agreement with saban to not attempt to flip any of bama's commitments which he had recruited? I can see how he might really help keep our defensive commitments on board, especially Dee Liner.
