From point guard Brian Green Jr. from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. Stay tuned for more.
Greene has an interesting story. He was used mainly as a small forward in HS. He passed up some small school offers out of Thornton HS near Chicago, Ill., to attend IMG's post-grad program this year and it paid off big time for him.
Auburn contacted him Monday, went down to see him Thursday, he visited this weekend and now he's committed. He said Auburn made it clear to him that they needed a guard.
So is that like prep school? Does he have 4 years of eligibility?
Bryan I had asked this earlier but then I saw this post by you. My question was has there been any word on Varez Ward? Does he even want to be back?
Bryan, do you have any idea on how Auburn's scholarship numbers are going to be? With only 3 seniors leaving, how does that make room for 5 incoming freshman?
Why would he not.. This is basicly his last chance. Left Texas sat out a year and is running very low on eligability.
Good looking PG in this kid.
If you cant be honest....whats the point of being anything?
I'm guessing he's a pretty good size if he used to be a small forward. Who else is/was recruiting him?
I wish the best for Varez.
Yes, four to play five.
It means a couple of players will be leaving the program.
Not sure on Varez Ward's status but this seems to be a sign that he won't be returning. The need for a PG popped up really fast about the same time he was suspended. I'm not saying anything for certain right now because I don't know for sure. Just reading the tea leaves and giving my *opinion*.
I understand what you're saying, but I really hope this isn't the case. I hope we pushed hard for this guy to build some much-needed depth. We have nobody behind Ward at the PG position. Yes, Wallace is good defensively, but he can't score.
I hope Ward has learned his lesson and returns better than ever.
IMO Ward has shown that we may need another PG, whether or not he stays.
Evidently he didn't care that it was his last chance or he wouldn't have screwed up and got in Barbee's dog house.
?? You mean 5 to play 4?
Four to play five?
