"There's no doubt, we're going up."
Auburn from day one.
“they ain't got nothing but people...Alabama mystique...Georgia mystique...they’ve done it with people. Hell, we’ve got people, too.”Pat Dye
This is for the Auburn Family and everyone who played here before we did. I love ya'll, War Eagle!' Nosa Equae 10/19/13 Kyle Field Texas A&M
Worry only about things which you can change, the rest will either work themselves out or kill you......either way, no more worries.
"Brick by brick, my citizens. Brick by brick"
Great question ...
Some answers ...
Because for the older folks, Auburn is the Land Grant School that got way too big for their liking.
Because Auburn no longer has the "Alabama State or Tech" name in its title and still weilds power - even in football. This baffles most Tide fans.
Because true UA Alumni will admit that they actually like their Auburn brothers or sisters or cousins; yet, still think how powerful UA could be if there was only one "University of Alabama". We are bigger and more powerful than most other Land Grant schools who rival the "State U." And they will always wonder why we attended Auburn over Alabama.
Because their "dirt road/sidewalk alumni" who have never attended UA and have likely not been in the state for more than a generation view "Alabama" as the state's team and view "Auburn" as its nemisis instead of another state school.
Because Auburn had a larger enrollment than UA until recently only because Auburn capped their enrollment and Bama dropped their admissions standards to play the numbers game.
Because football matters most to Bama; yet, it was Auburn who brought the game to the state and to them.
Because we have more Heismans and as many undefeated seasons in football as they do, despite their NC claim. And deep down, they know this.
Because Auburn graduates and fans love Auburn with a passion and fervor that they cannot comprehend.
Because Auburn claims "family, loyalty, wholesome environment, and even spirituality" and they want for these traits, but have yet to attain it.
Because Auburn is a great underdog, and they don't like the underdog. They cheer for the Yankees in baseball and the Lakers in basketball for the same reason. And we do not.
Because Auburn Girls are better looking.
Because Auburn has more Fortune 500 CEOs than they do, and has for many years.
Because they "hate" more than we do.
Pick any of the above.
