Imagine what ASU stats would be at with Dyer (I know he would have had to sit for a year but still)

WE COMING . WAR EAGLE !
That was exactly my point. But my post got a down vote and no response.
The wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round.
Why didn't they compare 2011 to 2012?
Attitude is Everything
They knew that Chizik started "collaborating" with Gus on the offensive game plan last year. Didn't want to skew the comparison.
If we had gus this year what would our record be?
Tiger Teach - Nice evaluation. Spot on.
I can understand Auburn fans scoffing at the idea of having Malzahn considered as a HC, but there's something to be said about his high powered HUNH offense and the offensive records who broke while at Auburn. He should at the very least get consideration...
We have too many members here who don't know squat about offense. Gus would be successful at Auburn. And why would we take 2011 into account Trojan? We know why production went down last season and it was not Gus' doing either.

Have we scored 41 points combined in all our games this year? Man, that seems like an eternity ago.

I think it would be a mistake not to give Gus a look....
We sure as hell wouldn't be 1-6
While I agree with the overal point you're trying to make, let's not forget who our quarterback was that year. Those numbers are very deceiving.
I actually wasn't really trying to make a point this time around.
It was more just a reminiscing kind of thing.
Literally, just remembering the good ole days when we were at 500 yards per game. I wasn't really suggesting any relation to this year other than to point out the drastic change and how fast it seems to have come. There is no way to compare directly really....who's to say that we wouldn't be averaging 500 yards per game under Loeffler if we had Cam, Dyer, Darvin, and that offensive line?
So no, I wasn't really making a point so much as just remembering the good times.
