You should prepare yourself to live with the consequences of your decisions, whatever they may be.
Watching the confetti fall in AZ was one of the top 3 moments in my life!
Great story about getting to Phoenix. I am sure many of you will remember, there was a really bad snow/ice storm that was hitting Bham the sunday before the game. It happened to be hitting the same time my flight was leaving out of Bham, think it was around 5 or 6. My fiance and I got to the airport very early, around 12 or so. As we are about to check in, we start talking to the service lady, and she is telling us how the airport might get shut down at five and our flight would be cancelled. Seeing as I got our tickets late in the process, it was going to literally be $2400 down the drain if we didn't make it to this game. I looked at the clock and knew it took about five hours to get to Charlotte from Bham, where our flight was connecting. I looked at my fiance and told her no way I would let the weather decide my fate. Even with the time change against us, we decided to risk it and drive to NC. We rented a car and hauled azz the whole way there, I mean 95 the WHOLE way. When we got there, dropped off the car, checked in, the gates were just about to close and we barely got on. The only reason we made it on that plane in Charlotte is because they were waiting for the flight from Bham and were delayed. That Bham flight never left the ground and a ton of Auburn fans missed out on a once in a lifetime opportunity. I reflect on those six hours sometimes in my life, whenever I am faced with a tough decision, and since then, I have never not listened to my gut instincts about a serious situation. ALL of it was worth it, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. War Damn on that.
