Drew Gibson committed to Air Force to play FB. He was playing ball at East Coweta HS, in 2009 and 1010 and had a lot of schools looking at him. Bu he had to sit out the entire 2011 season while recovering from a bout with Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a nervous system disorder that left him temporarily paralyzed. He went through an extensive rehabilitation process after losing 40 pounds.
He played his SR year at Trinity Christian in Newnan. He is good friends with my daughters. Drew is a very strong Christian and fought hard to regain his weight and speed. It was a tough road. He will do well at AFA.

www.times-herald.comHe will be welcomed into the best Air Force in the world. He will be joining a collection of individuals with strong work etics with high morales & values. He will be treated as family. I say this from experience as I soon will be retiring after 22 years+ AF.
i hope he enjoys his time at the AF Acad and playing football.
