JMO, I read quotes from several players we are evidently no longer recruiting that they had not heard anything from Auburn in weeks. It seems like the coaches should have at least contacted them and let them know we had decided to go in a different direction. You know, something like "Looking at our returning roster we realized we have some immediate needs which must be our #1 priority. We must address those needs by recruiting JC players who can come in and contribute immediately so we're going to have to use a number of our available scholarships to sign them. Unfortunately, we won't have enough to offer you, too. We thank you for your commitment to Auburn. Thanks for sticking with us during a difficult transition and we wish you the best in your college career".

It seems like that would have been the right thing to do instead of the new staff just never contacting them. I agree, we need immediate help if we can get some top JC players at critical positions. Let's just treat people the way we would like to be treated. You never know when a perceived snub or burned bridge will come back to haunt you somewhere down the road. Treat everyone with respect and tell the truth and that will pay off somewhere down the road, as well. The prospect, HS Coach and family will go out of their way to tell others if they perceive they've been mistreated or ignored.
