Our sports programs hires are not going well. Can someone tell me why? We have the best facilities in the country. How many first and second year coaches win conference championships let alone a national championship. I keep hoping there is a big hire out there that's not being mentioned. Bob Stoops is the kind of hire Auburn people want. But if we do have to settle please get Strong or Petrino. I'm beginning to think the grand slam type hires are not being approached right .Something is wrong if this is the only interest were getting. Does anyone else feel this way?.

Why do do they have to start at Auburn aufan07? Were a program with money and should not constantly be rebuilding. Are
you happy with our sports programs as whole? Our basketball program 2 hires. Baseball 2 hires. Now starting over in Football

I guess since the combined reincarnation of Vince Lombardi, Woody Hayes, and Bo Schembechler is not available, I'm OK with either Smart or Gus. Smart is part of the best college football coaching organization in America (whether we like it or not) and Gus has won at every level he has coached. Frankly the job he did this year with all that Arky State lost off last year's team is amazing. As for Petrino, if they hire him I'm OK with that too. He's a brilliant coaching mind. However, if we do be prepared for some tough recruiting battles ahead. How do we combat the competition asking a recruits parents if they really want a coach for their son that had an affair with an employee in his athletic department half his age? Not to mention the fact that he stabbed Tubs in the back less than a year after Tubs helped him get his first head coaching job.
