A lot of analyst and people out there agree with the OP. The NCAA punishes a kid for transferring schools and make them sit out a year in sports, but Coached can change at the will of signing a piece of paper as long as all $$$ aspects are took care of. I could careless is a Kid doesn't want to be here, or anywhere and wants to transfer. No reason to make him sit out.

So we would have to wait a year for Gus?
Besides that would never hold up in court. Coaches are employees of the university (and therefore the State) and are governed by State Law and University Policy. The NCAA has neither the authority nor the mandate to challenge that.

I would just like to see where the kid doesn't get penalized for transferring, kids come to a school for coaching style and playing time when a change is made all the hard work might be for nothing. All I'm saying is the coaches have the easy way out and the student athlete gets the shaft.
