Man oh man...Stoops would be an UNBELIEVABLE get! That would turn the college football world on its head. He seems to have kind of blended into the woodwork as of late with the success of Meyer, Kelly (Oregon), Miles and Saban etc. What better way to get a transfusion of coaching life than park yourself across the state from the big kid on the block. One thing I will give Chizik credit for, his leading us to the national title sure made the job a lot more desireable nationally than when he got here.

JJ has thought he could get Stoops... Let's see if he actually can.

Auburn's program doesn't need a star like Stoops to arrive in Atlanta or any other bowl location. Fishing for those kind is fun, interesting, and a very long shot for success, but, why not? What brought Auburn down was errors on Chizik's part that a smart man could easily foretell lead to disaster and Auburn doesn't need an Einstein Brain to fix anything. Chaley Strong is available, wouldn't cost an arm and leg, and his team in the Conference Championship game clearly showed that they believed, and were under control. And getting him now might have a very big effect on retaining recruits. Auburn needed more than Chizik. I doubt that more than Strong is needed and tumes awaisting.

These reports serve to do one thing ... ensure many will be dissatisfied with whomever the coach is. With all these names flying around, many of them likely not candidates, our expectations will be not only high, but targeted. One of the keys to contentment is low expectations :-)
