***Clint: 'This is when a person's true character is revealed'

  • ***Moseley said the team is at a point where the leader have to emerge and make sure nobody gets down and takes the easy way out. He said it's a test to see how many grown men they have on the team.

***Moseley said he tries to improve everyday and getter better from a maturity standpoint. He said everything he's gone through is helping him cope better with what's happening now. He said this is really when a person's true character is revealed.

***He said the older players still know what it takes to get to the top and are trying to be leaders.

***Moseley said they had some deep routes called against Vandy but they dropped guys in coverage and they worked to guys underneath. He said they had a guy open deep on the last play but they made a mistake up front and let a guy free. Clint said he still needed to make that throw.

***He said there are a lot of little breakdowns that are keeping them from making more big plays in the passing game, especially on third downs. He thinks they are real close.

***Moseley said Coach Loeffler has been the same person he was from the start and that's part of being a professional.

***Moseley said he hasn't sensed any frustration from Tre Mason for not getting more carries. He said they are friends and talk a lot. He said Mason was frustrated by the loss and doesn't talk about himself.

***Moseley said that Emory was supposed to go two yards deeper in the endzone on that throw in the 2nd quarter but he could have thrown it better. He said both Emory and him want that throw back.

***Moseley said he thought Texas A&M could really develop into a good team when he first heard they were joining the SEC. He called them a worthy addition to the SEC. He said he's watched Johnny Manziel and he's very impressive, especially running with the football.

  • This ole Country Boy from Leroy is a winner and the kind of kid/adult that Auburn has long been made of. He may not be heading a championship team but I'll assure you it is not because he doesn't want to. Some times we--myself very much included--forget that these guys are human and are under some real heavy stress and pressure. I remember years ago raising heck about our QB fumbling on the five yard line while going in for the win. I ranted. Raved. My late Dad calmly asked me, "Don't you know he did that on purpose in front of all of the fans and TV?" Helps me think during games to this day.

lol. Sorry, but how is Clint Moseley a winner? Great guy, but he can't win an SEC game for anything. Want to is a lot different from doing.

I think Clint is a good guy, but I get tired of seeing all these guys come out and say "Someone needs to step up as a leader". Instead of saying someone needs to be a leader, why not just step up and do it your damn self instead of waiting for someone else to?

^THIS. I've never in my life seen a team filled with more talk about 'we need a leader' and yet nobody ever steps up and actually leads. We lose another game and along with that comes another week of 'we need a leader' chatter. It is truly sad to see the lack of nobody willing to step up and be the leader. But then again, leadership goes from the top/down if you ask me. So the lack of leadership from our players ultimately and completely in my opinion reflects the lack of leadership from our head coach.

Exactly! That play was right in front of where I was sitting at VU. Blake would have been out of bounds had he been any deeper. The throw was behind him.
