Clemson Game - Where is everyone staying?

  • i was not planning on going and all of a sudden I have the oppurtunity to go. Of course most of the hotels are booked. Any suggestions or recommendations on the hotels near the airport?

We are driving over from Birmingham Saturday and staying in Douglasville after the game. I'm not sure what kind of rates people are getting on hotels but we are paying $75 for one night.

  • I will be staying in an old settlers home overlooking the Missouri river and Yellowstone river confluence where Lewis and Clark camped on the eat to and from the west coast trip. The land I will be hunting is called Sitting Bull ranch right beside Fort Buford where
Sitting Bull surrendered in 1882? Will be bringing portable sattelight for the Sat night game after
I have hopefully harvested a pope and young whitetail on the Aug 31 whitetail, Mule deer archery opener. Hat to miss the game but this is my next best place to watch. WE.

If you don't mind below the five star types, my wife and I got a room at Comfort Inn & Suites Airport North. Here's the link:

I also attached it to my post. If you are Auburn Alumni or happen to be a Suntrust employee, you can get a room for approx $85 a night. They also offer an advanced purchase rate discount too.

Atlanta Airport Hotel, Comfort Inn & Suites, Hotels College Park GA

Comfort Inn airport hotel in North College Park Georgia is located one mile from Atlanta Airport. The hotel is also near Georgia International Convention Center and offers free breakfast and free internet.

  • thanks for the replies. We will actually be driving up from Mobile. My inlaws live in Roswell. They wanted to come down here for the weekend but now are going to stay so we can stay with them. I feel kind of bad about it lol.

not trying to scare you or anything . but be careful in Douglasville. Two of my sons were hijacked there by a drug person at a filling station. I was later told we should have known that. I am only passing this on to a good Auburn fan because I think it is best to tell someone than to not. may be a very safe place but if it were me, I would want someone to give me the heads up.

With that said, we are staying at the Magnolia Inn which is the name of a Holiday Inn Express that is under private ownership. It is not far from the airport. I have a friend that travels to Atlanta often and says it is as nice as any Holiday Inn Express is for $79 a night. Get a cab into the game and back.

  • We are staying in Auburn at the University Station RV park! They are having a band Friday night and cookout for a kickoff party, then Saturday they are taking four buses to Atlanta! I know they have some RV rentals and a cabin, not sure if they are booked or not but you should check it out! It's alot of fun!!! Here is a link to the park

  • Staying at the Omni at CNN center. Was surprised at how reasonable the rate was given what other hotels were charging fir this weekend.
