Christian Hackenberg, anyone?

  • Hey, just a thought, since he is a true pro-style QB! He's big, strong, and has a strong arm! I like JJ as well as any of you, but I'd give Hackenberg the edge at this point! I know that when PSU first had the hammer dropped on them, this was discussed, and put to sleep...but isn't JaQuay Williams attending the same school as Hackenberg now? Stranger things have happened, and if this kid has any remotely serious interest in coming to Auburn, I don't see how we can ignore him.....especially to solidify a kid who is obviously going to play receiver or db (Jason Smith)! Just my thoughts, which aren't worth much! WAR EAGLE!!

  • Having watched him in a couple of his HS games, I'm unimpressed. I certainly wouldn't trade JJ for him.

    Shhhhh!!! I brought this very subject up a couple of weeks ago and got blasted for it. His not looking impressive this season is because his team is not very good. Seems that everyone was alright wanting Cooper Bateman over Johnson durin the summer, but I watched his nationally televised game last week, and it wasn't good. The kid Max Brown was heads and tails better the he was. As for JJ he didn't have a good game this week either... a couple of INTs and was benched for what I'm guessing was unsportsman like behavior. Don't get me wrong... I think we need JJ, but I also think it would be insane not to entertain Hackenberg.
