Chiz fired back...

  • Uat signed the best DL class in their history. I was impressed. Chiz answered back with what might already be the best OL class in school history and will definitely be if Kozan signs up. Chiz got potentially the best DL class in school history last year IMO so we are measuring up with our arch rival. Chiz evened up the DC matchup with The Stache. The difference could very well be the OC hires. Both coaches hired young guns with limited experience. Let's see who got the best one. I like our chances with Lefty who has played and coached at big-time programs.

  • Uat aint got nothing on us at OL going forward! It want be even close in two years....Grimes is at a different level than their coach(Period).

    Uat's coach was ok at Miami when they were paying players.....even then he struggled.

    Grimes is easily one of the top two or three OL coaches in College Football.

  • I hate to break it to you, but UAT isn't going anywhere unless they finally get busted by the NCAA. dinky gets basically any player he wants, and tramples on whoever it takes to do it. Hate to say it, but they will be right back in the thick of things next year.

    I seem to remember everybody saying that headed into 2010 with a senior QB and senior OL/DL. Didn't work out that way did it? While he's as good of a recruiter as I've seen at uat since Paul B., he is still the same coach that was up and down at LSU with equal talent that he's getting right now. Just like he's been up and down at uat. Hope he sends Paul Rhodes a new Harley to ride because without him, they would be yesterday's news. Only team in America that can choke and gag at home in the worst display of football ever from a mnc, not beat anybody worth a darn after that (reality bites), sit home and watch the SEC title game, and still get a 2nd shot at a team that had to beat a good Arkansas team and a decent uga team after the Shame, I mean Game of the "Century". I wouldn't be suprised if they are in the thick of it. I also won't be surprised if they lose 3 games.

    10 wins in a season in the SEC is a great season. I think bama has 4 in row. I wouldn't consider that up and down. I hate bama but if we want to compete for titles we have to raise our level to that of bama and lsu

  • We should not constantly compare ourselves to what bama is or isn't doing. It's easy to lose perspective because we're so close and they're on one of the best runs in their history, but come on, folks. We're two years removed from an absolutely amazing season and a BCSNC. We have joined an elite group in the last few years that, frankly, I wasn't certain we were EVER going to enter. That was way ahead of schedule, and I am 100% certain based on the talent being stockpiled for this squad that we're getting started on a run of success unlike any we've ever seen. The next few years are going to be fun.

    To HELL with uat and everything they stand for. We have our own measure of success to look forward to.
