I called in to the Dan Patrick show the other day. They had been asking if, as a fan, you'd rather win 10-12 games a year, always be in the hunt, but not win it, or if you'd rather be more of a "one and done" team and win it all, then fade back...like Auburn.

I wasn't going to let "one and done" stick to Auburn, so I called in with a "stat of the day". I gave them the one about Auburn being one of six teams in the nation (along with Alabama, Texas, Notre Dame, USC, and Ohio State) to be ranked at least four different years in EACH of the last 6 decades. So we aren't nearly a "one and done" program.

Then Dan asks me, "yeah, but would you rather be Oregon or Auburn for the next five years?". First thing I said was that Kelly will be gone to the NFL and there's a chance Oregon goes back to being closer to what Oregon has historically been. Auburn will always be Auburn.

I guess we'll see now what happens. Who do they get to replace Chip Kelly?

DAMN RIGHT IT MATTERS !
