Every time Charles gets on National TV, you have to hold your breath . Never know what he is going to say and if AU is going to have to run damage duty afterwards. Tonight though what he said about the "one and done" in college basketball was excellent. Obviously he has put a lot of thought into this topic and it's a campaign for him. A good campaign .

His saying that this mindset of one year of playing and then off to the Pros was bad for the student-athletes of basketball but also for the profession of the NBA itself. Saying young players are not ready to produce the quality professionals that the sport should have. The sport will suffer and they will suffer. Good point. He said there was no one on the court last night that was ready. That body strength and maturity were more important than "greedy parents and sports agents". (Typical Charles to say what others dare not say). Staying in school develops the sport with better players in all regards .

I took his arguments as having real substance. Sounds like he has this as a campaign for the sport. It certainly made me aware of something I had not thought of before hearing last night. It's a good campaign. My hope is that it does make for solid change.
