I'm just assuming here but the impression I've gotten is that papa wants to make sure that, after the coaching change, Carl explores all his options, see what other programs have to offer, then determine if his original choice was correct. The kid is a child beast with tremendous talent but I think his dad has a firm grip on the situation and is actually teaching him how to handle the pressure and make sure you weigh all the odds before you make a final decision - in anything in life, not just football. It may not be to our liking and he may very well not end up at AU but I have to say, having someone you can trust completely to be on your side, have your best interest at heart and to walk you through these life lessons, especially when it's your parents, is priceless.

Great interpretation of Carl Lawson's recruitment. I only hope he sees that Auburn is still Auburn a great place to not only play football but a great place to be. The group of coaches we now have on staff are better and will BE better for him. They WILL coach him up and he will have a great opportunity to make it to the next level with the foundation he will get from these coaches! WDE Carl Lawson and good luck to you (and make the right choice!! LOL)
