Bryan--Do uncommited recruits

  • that announce their commitment on signing day usually let the school they are commiting to know before signing day or are the schools in the dark until the recruit announces? The video of Chizik and Trooper when Lemonier signed sure looked like they did not know he was going to commit or maybe they knew and were showing satisfaction for a job well done.

Usually but not all the time. But coaches are like everyone else, they don't feel secure until it's a done deal.

If I remember correctly, the AU coaches didn't know about Corey Lemonier until his televised announcement. I remember the video of them all standing in a hallway or something watching a flat screen and cheering loudly when he put on the AU cap.

Either that or they did know but were exceedingly excited to get the public confirmation. biggrin
